Cupar Arts is a non-profit arts organisation based in Cupar, Fife. In 2008 and 2009, we presented the Cupar Arts Festival, a two- week event which included visual art, music, performance poetry, film, literature, artist's talks and workshops, and a children's programme. The festival has received funding from the National Lottery, the Scottish Government, Fife Council, and local businesses. Emphasis is strongly placed on innovative contemporary art in a curated programme which has to date included over eighty visual artists. Installations and exhibitions take place at temporary sites and venues, both indoor and outdoor, throughout the town.
Cupar Arts are now undertaking a period of research and development, with discussion underway for a 2011 Cupar Arts Festival. There will be no Cupar Arts Festival in 2010.
A small number of events will take place between now and the next Cupar Arts Festival in 2011.
