LOUISA PRESTON
A metal framework is built like an over-sized meccano set, where each section is bolted together. This allows for different configurations of the structure. The framework both suggests a space, and delineates the space it inhabits, like a three-dimensional drawing.
I have also created thirty to forty white plaster and paper abstract steeple forms. The purity and fragility of the white plaster and paper forms aim themselves to be poetic entities, holding potential of a futuristic landscape in miniature, or of a past modernist architecture.
